I Love California

I think I want to live in Southern California. Like, seriously. Newport Beach is my new favorite place in the whole world. Starting today, I have a whole six days to do nothing except relax at the beach and by the pool. Our condo is about 1/4 mile from the beach and we have a patio that overlooks the ocean:

Pretty sure the only thing that could make this better is Nay; but I'm still going to have a blast. Since I'm going to the beach in about 15 min I'm just going to post a few pictures from the patio and head out. Hooray for Spring Break '08!!

The hills north of our resort. This place is way high class, supposedly the fourth most expensive zip code in the US!

Jimmy eating breakfast on the patio. Kerry and Murph slept out here last night, definitely going to do that before the week's over.

Shout out to Mich for planning the best spring break ever!!

COME BACK STUMBLE UPON!!!

I love Stumble Upon. Its pretty much the best procrastination tool ever. I love it so much that I've probably spent about 3 hours studying for my two exams tomorrow and at least as much time stumbling today.
But SU just broke!!!!! I was in the middle of a blissful round of stumbling when I got this page:

What am I going to do now?! I briefly considered taking the nice little picture's advice, but then I realized that its still DAMN COLD OUT. So I'm taking my now free time to rant about this. Shouldn't I be studying? Nawwww, its senior year! And spring break is only three days away! Maybe stumble upon will be fixed by now...

So this post makes me sound pathetic, please note that stumbling is reserved mostly for procrastinating homework or studying, and not used in lieu of real activities (like playing outside, or going to class. or partying. partying always comes before stumbling.)

Its not as cold as it could be....

Its cold as balls out! So cold that the snow squeaks when you walk on it. So cold that my hair froze solid this morning after less than two minutes outside. So cold that I'm pretty sure my face was frozen solid for about 10 minutes after I came inside. But it could be colder.
Last year sometime we had about a week where it didn't get above maybe -5. During that time, it was so cold MY WEATHER WIDGET GREW ICICLES. Its not that cold right now, but just because I think my weather widget looks cool with icicles, I think I'll try to set it to a city that is cold enough.

Ten minutes later.....
Its thirty-fucking below in North Pole, AK and there's no icicles!!??
It must have been a hell of a lot colder than I thought it was last year.
Anyway, its -3 right now and the windchill is -16. I don't want to go outside until spring, too bad I still need to go home tonight....
On a warmer note, three weeks from now I'll be on spring break in SoCal. Oh yeah beach, so ready for you right now.

Until then, bring it on cold, you can't beat me! Unless I forget a hat tomorrow morning, then I'm screwed.

Yay slowness!!

I'm at home with my parents for a few weeks and I really want to start blogging more, but we still have dialup. I really, really, really, really hate dialup. So pretty much I avoid the internet at all costs when home.

On a related note, I also need to start some hardcore job searching, lest I graduate a jobless bum. The useless internet is very much a thorn in my side here. Thus, I think I'm going to sit in a coffee shop all day tomorrow and probably piss off the people working there. At least there will be coffee!

Burn in hell flash player

So my computer has a problem with flash content. I'm not sure what it is, but for some reason my flash player likes to uninstall itself. And then it lets me reinstall and either works or doesn't, depending on how much my computer feels like messing with me apparently. So basically, whenever I try to view flash content, I get something that looks about like this:

Its really annoying.

On a more exciting note, I might try out for a musical next spring. There's a student run production of Titanic being put on in January, and its only a two week commitment. I haven't done musical theater since high school, where I did all of one show, but I loved it. So we'll see, I think it would be fun, just hope it won't make me too busy.

Only three days of classes left, then all that stands in the way of a month of relaxation is four finals. I can't wait.

Decisions are not my.....fort?

So I'm really bad at making decisions. Like the title for this blog. In fact I spent about five minutes trying all kinds of different URLs, only to choose a frustrated grunting noise. Oh well, now the decision's made, so that's that.

Actually, I'm not sure what made me decide to start writing, or if this will continue past today/next week/a month from now. I'm not really a big writer, so this is a little bit of new concept. Mostly I love reading about other people's lives (OH MY GOD WHAT A CREEPER!!!), so why can't people read about mine. That being said, here goes nothing:

While I was thinking of a title for this blog/thing/random collection of my thoughts/etc. I remembered a debate I got into a few years back about the word forté.

Dictionary.com: 1.
a strong point, as of a person; that in which one excels

Anywayyyyyy, I thought it was pronounced 4-tay, yes, just like that, but my friend KNEW that is was pronounced fort, like those big stone buildings from a really long time ago. Turns out I was right, haha I win!, but there was a fun little picture that resulted from the discussion.

And that's the story behind the title of this post. Or the whole blog? I think I just made a post solely to explain the title of the post. That's kind of counterproductive.

Wow, talk about randomness, that's me.
